Mathieu Verpaalen

Mathieu is an expert in upstream bioprocess development for multi-strain gut bacterial consortia. His expertise builds upon experience gained at the gut-brain axis lab at UCC, Ireland; an MSc in Medical Biotechnology from Wageningen University with a focus on gut microbial ecology, and an internship at Nestlé's Konolfingen R&D site. He earned his PhD in food biotechnology at ETH Zürich, where he developed novel bioprocesses to efficiently produce multi-strain gut consortia through immobilization.
