Alice de Wouters

Alice developed expertise in host metabolism and nutrition during her PhD research at the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium, where she focused on the role of gut microbiota in metabolic disorders associated with obesity. Alice started working with PharmaBiome during a fruitful two-year collaboration as part of Emma Slack's team in the Laboratory of Mucosal Immunology at ETH Zurich, following which she joined PharmaBiome full-time as a translational scientist. In this role, she investigates the pharmacology, safety, and dosing of novel bacterial drug candidates in preclinical settings.
