Leandra Knecht

Leandra finished her PhD in Microbiology at ETH in collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences Zurich and Agroscope. Her work focused on environmental and molecular microbiology in the context of phages and bacterial interactions. She has extensive knowledge of phage host interactions and molecular microbiology. After a stay in the Diagnostics Unit of the University Hospital Zurich, Leandra joined PharmaBiome in 2021 to strengthen the research and development of our functional microbiome therapies. She will direct PharmaBiome’s anaerobic culture and isolation platforms, focusing on microbial metabolism and interactions.
